The blog article is semi overdue. We were approached by a small non profit in Eastern Pennsylvania called SEPA RC&D. Their mission is to promote conservation and enhancement of natural and community resources. SEPA a boat load of features on their new website. Here was our approach on our website in a nutshell.
-
Information Architecture: Their old website was super unorganized! We helped by created 3 main categories for all of their pages, making it easier for people to find what they are looking for.
-
Content Management System: We decided to place SEPA on WordPress as their CMS because of their desire to have an “easy to use” CMS that requires minimal training. After about 2 training sessions SEPA seems to be humming along making changes to their website without our assistance!
-
Event Registration: SEPA can set up an unlimited amount of events on their website and collect registration information. This is also set up with PayPal so they can collect payments and do some basic reporting on attendance.
-
Membership: SEPA can now accept membership payments through PayPal and restrict parts of their website for members only.
-
Newsletter Signup: SEPA users Vertical Response to send mass emails to all of their followers.
-
Donations: SEPA uses network for good to collect and manage their online donations.
