We just finished a pretty cool website design for Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley. On this project we worked closely with the communications/marketing manager at Habitat. We decided that the WordPress Content Management System is the best bet for the development of this site due to it’s ease of use to the end user.
During the initial stages of the web development we looked at the various stakeholders that might be visiting the website. We found a few:
-
Potential Donors
-
Potential Volunteers
-
Media
If you look at the website, http://www.habitatsiliconvalley.org/ , you’ll see these main audience members are given clear “call to actions” on the homepage. There is no confusion about what habitat would like a user to do when they arrive on the homepage.
Below is a “before” picture for the homepage.
